President Joe commenced the meeting at 12:16pm
Christine Krolik was asked to lead the Pledge; the President figured that as an elected official she would know the words. She did and Rotary Pledge cacophony ensued.
Marc Luccesi, who has been pitching in back at Mollie Stones on Wednesdays, was back with us today. Mark led us in a beautiful prayer for unity.
Our only guest today, other than our speaker who tuned in later, was Jeff Krolik. It was noted that Marilyn is out of town skiing. Sending good thoughts for a great trip with no broken bones, Marilyn!

We broke up into group chatrooms (thank you, Chris Ramirez), and then returned for Newscast.
Jennifer Pence asked us all what presents we received over the holidays that may not be useful, or were downright odd. The merits of fruitcake vs. panettone were discussed. Fritz shared about a 40th birthday present gone awry. Jennifer also asked us about our New Year’s resolutions and if we are on track with them. Mark is on track with his workouts, go, Mark! Jennifer mentioned her friend whose reso is to wear each of her pair of earrings sometime during the year!
We broke up into second group chatrooms, and then returned for our speaker.
Actor David Garrison was our speaker today, zooming in from the snowy Berkshires. David entertained us with highlights of his long and varied career, from television (It’s Your Move, Married With Children, Law & Order) to Broadway (A Day in Hollywood/A Night in Ukraine, Titanic, Guys & Dolls, Wicked). Cary Koh re-connected with David, as our own Cary was Concertmaster when Wicked played the Orpheum in San Francisco and David played the Wizard. David fielded numerous questions from our interested members. Christine screen-shared photos from David’s career, they can be accessed at www.davidgarrison.com
Joe presented David with the 5 polio vaccines and adjourned the meeting at 1:30pm.
