Let’s Review What Happened Last Week:
At our meeting last Wednesday longtime member John Crosby entertained us with a history of his family's business Crosby N. Gray which in many ways was a telling of the history of Burlingame. John explained that the N. Gray in the company's name does not stand for "and Gray" but Nathanial Gray. He also provided us interesting insights and tidbits that one experiences in the funeral business. Prior to John speaking, one of our newest members, Sarah Haas, presented the club with a funny and entertaining newscast.
At the meeting, we were joined by following the guests of the club - Emily Beach (her first visit), Don Donoughe (his first visit) and returning member Karim Salma (his third visit). Past President Scott Hartley also joined us as a guest.
Bistro Burlingame Fundraiser - Sunday, May 19
Tickets are now available for our Bistro Burlingame fundraiser. The Bistro will be held on Sunday, May 19th at 5:30pm at the Doubletree San Francisco Airport Hotel. Tickets are $100 per person and you can purchase your tickets now by going to http://bistroburlingame.com/. We will be having sales drives at our May 8 and 15 meetings. So bring your checkbook or credit/debit card to any of our May meetings.
Additionally, there will be a silent auction at the fundraiser which is being organized by Jennifer Pence. Please bring your donations for the auction to Jennifer at our next meeting.
